VAR is sucking the lifeblood out of our game. Put more onus back on the referees and less on VAR. Mistakes are being made, and decisions are taking too long. Fans can't celebrate potential goals. There needs to be a rethink, fans and ex footballers need to be involved in the overhaul of the system
The powers that be that run VAR are caught up in their own PR exercises and are blinkered to opinions of the fans, pundits and media. The fans are the lifeblood of the game, which was clearly evident during Covid. It now seems we are being ignored again. Allow the referees and linesmen have more of the decision making. This will certainly speed the game up. Mistakes will happen, which is no different from the case at the moment. We need a rethink.
Please don't destroy our beautiful game.
