Rejected petition: Restore Equal Access to Public Parkland Opposite the Iranian Embassy (SW7 1PT)

Rejected on

We call on the UK Government and authorities to restore public access to parkland opposite the Iranian Embassy (SW7 1PT). Unauthorized encampments, tents, and barriers block public land and restrict peaceful assembly. We urge authorities to clear illegal structures and enforce bylaws fairly for all.

A group has continuously occupied public parkland opposite the Iranian Embassy (SW7 1PT) with unauthorized structures that police fail to remove. They routinely obstruct and harass others attempting to use the space, creating a hostile environment that prevents Kurdish opposition groups, Iranian activists, and independent protesters from gathering. We urge authorities to enforce public space regulations, remove illegal encampments, and guarantee safe, equal access for all peaceful groups.
