Open petition: Requiring all businesses with public toilets to have baby changing facilities

Created by Molly Jevons
Closes on

Parents and carers shouldn’t be forced to change their child on dirty floors or anywhere with no privacy. I am asking for a law that requires all businesses and venues that provide toilet facilities for their customers should also provide suitable baby-changing facilities.

We are calling for a basic standard that if a venue provides customer toilets, parents and carers should be able to safely and hygienically change their baby there.

Parents should not be forced to change their baby on a toilet floor, in a pram, on a chair or in another unsuitable public space simply because the venue has chosen not to provide a changing facility.
