Rejected petition: Return of full maternity and obstetric services to the Horton General Hospital
Rejected on
Instead of funding further maternity services to the JR hospital in Oxford, full maternity and obstetric services should be returned to Banbury’s Horton General Hospital
The baroness Amos report into maternity care has found serious failings across several hospitals and namely the John Radcliffe in Oxford. By returning a full service to Banbury, pressure will be taken off the JR and give them the breathing space to put their house in order. Banbury is not asking for anything new, just a restoration of the services it once had until cruelly stripped away and diverted to Oxford. Mothers from Banbury and the neighbouring towns and villages will thank you
