Open petition: Fund free period products in public spaces
Created by Nishli Jayalath
Closes on
We believe we must try our best to tackle period poverty and a great approach to this is to fund free period products in public spaces such as libraries and public toilets. Scotland has already implemented this law so why can’t it extend to England?
Women deserve to have a free period. Toilet paper is free to use inside toilets but free period products are too much to ask for? In the UK period products are quite expensive with the average price for a packet of pads ranging from £1.50-£3.50. Period poverty is a very real thing impacting many women across the country.
