Open petition: Put diplomatic pressure on China to stop repatriating North Korean refugees

Created by Lilly Moss
Closes on

We call on the UK Government to apply diplomatic pressure on the Chinese Government to stop the forced repatriation of North Korean refugees, to end any injustice faced by North Koreans fleeing their country and to ensure their safety.

If the UK Government successfully pressures the Chinese Government to stop the forced repatriation of North Korean refugees back to North Korea, it could allow North Koreans to have a better chance in life as the border with China is the most common route for North Koreans to cross into and who are trying to escape their country.

It could also help protect North Korean women, men and children from being exploited or harmed by Chinese brokers, who may try to take advantage of them by using laws on deporting North Korean refugees against them.
