Rejected petition: Objection to plans for Asylum seekers at Roman Court, Leverington, Cambs

Rejected on

Fenland is a rural district with limited public services, overstretched health provision, and constrained transport links, Roman Court, Leverington, is not an appropriate location for such a placement.
Our community has consistently raised concerns about the impact that on local infrastructure.

The concerns are based on the impact on local infrastructure, policing capacity, school places, and already under pressure NHS services. Fenland has some of the highest deprivation levels in Cambridgeshire and placing additional strain on essential services would be unfair to both residents and those seeking support.
