Rejected petition: A Fairer Funding Deal for Gloucestershire
Rejected on
Despite Gloucestershire County Council working hard to deliver vital services, we face tough choices due to under-funding. Our children get less per pupil than most other councils, our roads need investment and social care is under relentless pressure. Gloucestershire deserves Fairer Funding now!
We are urging the Government to do five things:
• Give Gloucestershire a fair funding settlement.
• End the long-standing injustice in schools and SEND funding.
• Invest properly in Gloucestershire’s roads.
• Pay the costs of Local Government Reorganisation.
• Act now on social care and provide meaningful reform so no-one is left behind.
Add your name today and join residents, businesses and community groups across Gloucestershire in calling for a fair deal.
