Change the rules so widowed parents do not lose Widowed Parent’s Allowance when Child Benefit ends because their children start university or an apprenticeship. We believe support should continue while children remain financially dependent.

Widowed Parent’s Allowance ends when Child Benefit stops because a child starts university or an apprenticeship. Yet these children may remain financially dependent. We want the Government to review the rules so bereaved parents do not lose support while supporting dependent children.
