Rejected petition: Require fair and transparent all-inclusive holiday pricing for children under 10
Rejected on
Require the Government to investigate the pricing of all-inclusive package holidays for children under 10 and introduce measures to ensure that child prices are transparent, age-appropriate and proportionate to the services provided to children.
Families booking holidays are increasingly presented with all-inclusive prices where young children appear to be charged the same “per person” price as adults.
We believe this deserves greater transparency and scrutiny, particularly for children under 10.
A young child does not have the same needs, consumption or use of services as an adult. For example, children do not consume alcohol and may have significantly different food consumption and use of adult-oriented facilities and services.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.
This is a matter for holiday companies.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
