Created by Stephen Jelfs
Closes on
We want the UK Government to work with the devolved administrations and relevant organisations to establish consistent UK-wide standards ensuring public AEDs are accessible, registered, maintained and ready when needed.
The framework should:
Set minimum standards for AED access and readiness, inc signage.
Ensure AEDs are registered on The Circuit and locatable by ambulance services.
Consistent standards for placement.
Improve integration with ambulance services.
Collect data on AED location, access, readiness Etc.
Set rules for maintenance, governance readiness.
Address geographical and socioeconomic inequalities in AED access.
Promote UK-wide standards and best practice.
