Rejected petition: Erect A Memorial For Wrestling Legend PAC In His Hometown Of Newcastle

Rejected on

In the early hours of 28/9/2026, the wrestling world was shocked by the sudden and unexpected passing of Benjamin Satterly, better known as PAC or Neville. Many tributes have been paid to him, including flowers being left at Grey's monument, but this petition is about getting something permanent

As one of the first major wrestlers to make it big overseas, it can be argued that Benjamin paved the way for other famous wrestlers from this country. Whether it was his time spent in Japan, or his stint in WWE as Neville, many other significant personalities in the wrestling world, such as Will Ospreay, have cited Benjamin as an inspiration to them to pursue the craft.

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s about something that the UK Government or Parliament is not directly responsible for.

This isn't a matter that central Government has responsibility for. You may wish to pursue this matter with your local councillor or local authority directly - perhaps you might encourage your local MP to talk to them on your behalf, especially if other residents are also interested in the idea of a memorial.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
