Open petition: Require venues to accept government evidence of disability or caring needs
Created by Carolyn Cornish
Closes on
Require venues and event organisers to accept existing government evidence (PIP, DLA, Carer's Allowance letters) for disability or caring needs, instead of forcing people to purchase a third-party card or repeatedly share private medical data for reasonable adjustments.
Many disabled people and carers already have government evidence (PIP, DLA, Carer's Allowance letters), yet many venues only accept a paid for third-party card or require repeatedly submitting private medical data to third-party systems. This petition asks the Government to require venues and event organisers to accept existing government-issued evidence of disability or caring responsibilities, rather than requiring a paid card or repeated submission of private medical data to third-party systems.
