Rejected petition: Sophies law - non mol orders on new partners with a DA abuser who become fixated
Rejected on
Leaving an abusive relationship should not mean entering a lifetime of defending yourself against malicious reports when a new partner becomes fixated. I want to strengthen legal order protection for victims of DA and their kids where abuse, stalking, harassment or intimidation continues
DA does not necessarily end when a relationship ends. For some victims, separation can be followed by years of harassment, stalking, intimidation, malicious allegations, repeated emergency calls and misuse of police, social care from there new partners who become fixated .displaying behaviour towards the victim which repeats, mirrors or continues patterns previously experienced during the abusive relationship.i want non mol orders to be available when a significant pattern of this is reported
