Open Ban the manufacturing of single-use plastic bottles

Plastic bottles are extremely harmful to our environment. Around 80% of marine litter is plastic. I am calling for a ban of plastic bottles to be replaced with recyclable materials such as glass or bio-plastic.

Plastic bottles can affect marine wildlife, who ingest microplastics, which can then enter the human food chain. We have bio degradable options available to us, so why are we not using them? Switching to reusable bottles could save an average UK citizen approximately 94.4KG of co2 per year. This needs to be a priority.
