Open petition: Increase NHS funding to prevent recruitment freezes or roles being cut
Created by Helen Barrett
Closes on
We call on the Government to increase funding to all NHS trusts to ensure they do not have to impose recruitment freezes and roles being cut. We believe a lack of funding of NHS trusts negatively impact patients, nurses and other health professionals.
We are concerned that newly qualified and experienced staff who are ready to work are not being recruited due to budget constraints, and that this is putting further pressure on an already stretched workforce. In our view, recruitment is essential to ensure adequate patient care, staff wellbeing and the long-term sustainability of the NHS. We therefore call on the Government to increase funding to NHS trusts.
