Businesses can register in minutes, but community groups often wait months before they can begin lawful, safe public‑benefit activity. We ask the Government to introduce a national early‑stage charity pathway that provides clear guidance, consistent processes, and timely support for new community groups. A clear pathway would maintain safeguards while reducing unnecessary delays, helping volunteers support vulnerable people, strengthening communities, improving early intervention, and increasing homelessness‑prevention capacity.
