We want the Government to set up an independent review of the current operation of section 25AB and the extent to which its operation may assist people who have arranged or organised irregular migration journeys.

This review should establish whether there needs to be any change in the current law to make its purpose clearer and its operation better aimed at legitimate rescues rather than assisting illegal or irregular migration.
