We believe 17-year-olds should be allowed to ride motorbikes up to 300cc, with proper training and licensing. A higher engine limit would give young riders more practical options while ensuring safety through training, testing, and responsible riding.

The proposal could require appropriate training and testing, meaning riders would still have to demonstrate they can ride safely before using a 300cc bike.
A 300cc motorcycle can provide better acceleration and cruising ability, which can be useful when joining faster-moving traffic.
