Open petition: Establish an independent Parcel Delivery Ombudsman
Created by Paula Prince
Closes on
This petition calls on the UK Government to establish an independent Parcel Delivery Ombudsman to give consumers greater protection when courier companies repeatedly fail to deliver parcels properly.
The aim is to create a fairer balance between consumers and courier companies. Responsible delivery companies should not be disadvantaged. However, consumers should not be expected to repeatedly accept poor service simply because individual complaints are treated in isolation.
The petition is not calling for courier companies to be punished for every individual mistake or unavoidable delay. Instead, it seeks greater accountability when poor service becomes persistent or systemic.
