Rejected petition: INCREASE FUNDING TOWARDS MENTAL HEALTH FACILITIES/SERVICES

Rejected on

increase funding for mental health services, including improved facilities, better staff training and greater awareness of mental health. young people should have a much stronger voice in how mental health services are designed, delivered and improved. As they are the ones living in it.

better treatment of young people in mental health services, including less use of restraint and more choice in their care. Young people should feel safe, respected and listened to, not frightened in a place where they came for help. Staff need more in-depth training and empathy. use appropriate (even upgrade) technology to improve accountability and ensure concerns/complaints/incidents can be properly investigated, rather than becoming one person’s word against another’s.
