Rejected petition: Reverse Derby’s Labour policy of fining £70 for leaving bins out past 12pm.
Rejected on
Make the £70 fine a £0 fine as working households cannot help leaving bins out past 12pm.
Derby’s Labour Party has introduced a £70 fine for leaving bins out past 12pm. For working households, it is merely impossible as it is not in our hands as to when we can pull the bins back in, on our street bins are collected way past 12pm and so it’ll be merely impossible as if we were to pull the bins and they aren’t on roadside, it’ll lead to a missed collection resulting in the bin crews accumulating extra pressure to collect missed bins.
