Open petition: Government to press Israeli Government on treatment of Palestinian prisoners
Created by Ibraheem Gachi
Closes on
We call on the Government to press the Israeli government to comply with its own Supreme Court ruling to allow the Red Cross to visit Palestinian prisoners, and the Geneva Convention, and to ensure to the best of its ability the welfare of Palestinian prisoners.
We are concerned about the treatment of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons, as documented by many human rights organisations. The Red Cross should be allowed access to Israeli prisons holding Palestinian prisoners, but Israel has barred this, despite the Israeli Supreme Court ruling rejecting this Government ban.
