Rejected petition: Legalise fox hunting again
Rejected on
Unmanaged foxes carry parasites, destroy gardens, and pose rising safety risks Blanket bans harm rural jobs and pest control. We urge Parliament to repeal hunting bans and introduce statutory licensing to protect property, public health, and rural heritage. NHS statistics prove increased fox attacks
Without fox hunting, unmanaged fox populations have surged in residential areas, spreading diseases and dangerous parasites. Constant digging and fouling make gardening virtually impossible. Furthermore, foxes straying onto motorways pose severe hazards to drivers, while rising incidents—including reports of foxes invading homes and attacking babies—demonstrate an urgent public safety threat. We urge Parliament to restore regulated hunting to protect homes, health, and roads.
Why was this petition rejected?
We can't publish petitions when the request is something that's already happening or something that has been announced since you started your petition.
We think your petition is covered by Government or Parliament action already. If you'd like something else, you could start a new petition clearly explaining what it is.
Foxes can already be legally hunted and controlled in certain circumstances, so we're not sure what further action you'd like the Government to take.
We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
