Rejected petition: Obligate all businesses to have a public email address for complaints/service.

Rejected on

All UK companies have been legally required to maintain an "appropriate" private registered email address alongside their postal address. This address should be public. Consumers should be able to make complaints and submit documents by email as well as by mail.

Whether it be a phishing attack, a security issue, a complaint or a non-reply email the public should have the ability to easily submit feedback by email just as they already can be mail. The ability to send feedback or complain is becoming ever more tiresome with circular algorithms, non-reply emails, and endless IT barriers stonewalling consumers from their consumer protection rights and wasting their time.
