Rejected petition UK police force should all have compulsory armed weapon training and carry a gun

currently British police officers do have armed response teams to deal with threats anywhere around the UK but my argument is the time it takes for the armed response teams to be dispatched and of course the travel time to the destination.

ultimately this would prevent mass loss of human life if there would be police officers closer to the incident.
