Many people's livelihoods are being affected by the new Online process of the SIA badge renewal process, many people are becoming unemployed & facing financial difficulty as the badge is a legal requirement to work within the Security Sector.

The SIA Department requires a fee of £220 upfront every 3 years off a individual, yet they have cut many services such as a telephone number and email address to contact them on the be able to go through the renewal and initial application process easily and efficiently. Many people are struggling to be able to renew and apply for there badge via the new 'Online' system. This is forcing people out of work which is resulting in financial hardship and stress.
