Rejected petition Bring VAT amount back down to 17.5% after increasing to 20% on 4 January 2011

Alistair Darling announced in 08 that the standard rate of VAT would be reduced from 17.5% to 15% with effect from Dec 08. In Dec 09, Darling announced that the standard rate of VAT would return to 17.5% with effect from Jan 10. We have since paid the price on this reduction paying 20% since Jan 11
