Rejected petition Make torturing and abusing domestic animals as a criminal offence.

Owners or non owners of domestic animals who abuse them and torture them need to be sentenced with a severe prison sentence and put on a cruelty to animals register. At present time they are only given bans on having animals and this is not in any way acceptable.
This has to be changed.

More details

You can find details of these animals being treated in a cruel manner from the RSPCA. When animals are being burned alive and having their little legs broken and their eyes poked with sticks, this is an evil act which has to be stopped. Not just for domestic animals but for all animals who are being treated with such devilry by so called human beings.
There is no one to speak out for these animals to help put an end to this evilness towards them.

This petition was rejected

Why was this petition rejected?

It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Petitions need to call on the UK Government or Parliament to take a specific action.

Animal cruelty is already a criminal offence, punishable by up to six months in prison. We are therefore not sure what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

If you want to see the prison sentence for animal cruelty increased to up to five years by the end of this year you could sign this petition:

Alternatively you could start a new petition setting out clearly what action you would like the UK Government or Parliament to take.

We only reject petitions that don’t meet the petition standards.
