Rejected petition Ban ear piercing of babies/toddlers. Introduce minimum age of 6yrs+

The practice of ear piercing babies and toddlers is not necessary to the health, religious belief or welfare of the child.

It is needlessly painful and confusing for the child (who is usually pinned down to keep them still for the piercing) and creates an avoidable infection and/or injury risk.
