Rejected petition Mandate/strongly recommend furloughing for parents with young children
Give more clear specific guidance to recommend employers must look to furlough staff with young children where their childcare provision is closed/they are not eligible for their child(ren) to attend.
More details
It is a source of enormous stress for parents where Employers are unwilling to undertake this; it is counter productive for any level of output, detrimental to children’s development and creating unnecessary pressure on working families.
