More details
Growing up we knew about black American history, but what about the UK? The effects of the glamorisation of the British empire has filtered down through generations and have been suppressed by white privilege. This ignored racism now leaves many ethnic minorities in a disadvantaged situation. The curriculum should make it clear the role that racism has played in the UK, therefore helping to build a stronger society.
