Rejected petition Make it mandatory to teach Black history in schools as part of the curriculum.

I think it's crucial for UK students to understand about Black History worldwide. I propose that in the curriculum, both primary and secondary school, they are taught historical Black events that have landscaped the UK and the world.

As a result of protests across the world, many have been reflecting on this issue. I know in school I didn't have the opportunity to learn this and I think it's crucial in creating an anti racist society. Education about the past is the only way we can help correct the future, to be more informed will support Black communities and help implement change.
