British Colonialism and Imperialism have not only shaped the country as it is today, but also the world.
It’s current omission from the national history curriculum serves to teach children an incomplete, and therefore false, version of the UK’s history.
Teaching the history of British Colonialism acknowledges the past wrongs of Britain and will help to nurture a more informed next generation.
Education is the most effective tool in our arsenal for constructing an anti-racist society.
