Rejected petition Deliver the Gender Recognition Act reforms as voted for by the UK public.
We call on the UK government to deliver on the Gender Recognition Act reforms that were overwhelmingly supported by the UK public. A democratic consultation was called: the results of this should be made public and the changes delivered, in order to protect the lives of trans people.
More details
Deliver the reforms to the Gender Recognition Act that were overwhelmingly supported by the UK public. The government made a commitment and they must keep this promise.
We call on the government to:
- Require no medical diagnosis or presentation of evidence for trans people to get their identity legally recognised
- Recognise non-binary identities
- Give all trans people the right to self-determination through a much simpler administrative process
