Important:

This petition was submitted during the 2019-2024 parliament

Rejected petition Allow students to take their predicted grades, as was done in Scotland.

To ensure equality across schools and allow A level Students to take the highest grade out of their predicted, mocks or given grades, the same as was done in Scotland. This would allow students who have been given worse grades than they would have done under the normal system to advance their lives.

More details

To allow students who have been given far worse grades than they would have been able to get in the normal exam system to get the grades they need to continue their education. This would also protect high performing students from low performing schools from being given far worse grades than they deserve. This would reduce the level of inequality between Scotland and England as students there are being given their predicted grades which will be higher than those given to the rest of the country.
