Rejected petition Vaccinate schools and the working population against covid-19 first
Rejected on
Vaccinate schools and the working population first to get the key areas of the economy and education moving again.
We need to get the economy and education moving again to protect businesses and to assure future education is secured.
Why was this petition rejected?
It’s not clear what the petition is asking the UK Government or Parliament to do.
It's not clear from your petition if you want just school staff or also school children to be vaccinated.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency is responsible for approving the safety of vaccines. At the moment, the covid-19 vaccines have only been approved for over 18s.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation have said that "there is very limited data on vaccination in adolescents, with no data on vaccination in younger children, at this time."
