Rejected petition Create a National 'NHS Health Worker Heroes Day' - 5th July 2020

To recognise the tireless work of All NHS staff that are helping with the fight against COVID-19. To be recognised in a similar manner to Armed Forces Day. To hold one day in the National calendar to reflect, remember and respect all that they are doing to protect the health of all UK citizens.

More details

HMG should recognise the tireless, selfless work being undertaken by NHS staff who are putting themselves at risk to cure others and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Everyday they work without complaint, often on low salaries, never give up and are determined to promote the health and wellbeing of citizens of the UK. Not all heroes wear capes; some wear surgical gloves, face masks and scrubs. Without the NHS this pandameic would be out of control and more families would suffer loss.
