Rejected petition Give surgeons who perform gender affirming surgeries the title 'Gender Mender'
Because of the important work they do, it is vital that we officially give surgeons who perform gender affirming surgeries (sometimes called Sex Reassignment Surgeries) the title of 'Gender Mender'.
More details
Because of the important work they do, it is vital that we officially give surgeons who perform gender affirming surgeries (sometimes called Sex Reassignment Surgeries) the title of 'Gender Mender'. This will serve a few purposes. One is to normalise the idea of transgender people transitioning with surgeries, and also honouring those who save trans lives by providing this service to those who need it most.
