Rejected petition Complete overhaul of the United Kingdom’s embarrassing Justice System.
Completely overhaul the justice systems sentences and punishments as they are not a deterrent and are an actual embarrassment for the great people of Britain looking for justice. There are countless examples of ridiculous sentences and accepted appeals for horrendous crimes. Enough is enough!!

Life imprisonment should mean life.
Make the British justice feared once more.
Give powers back to police to actually do their job.
Have a seriously deep look at the possibility of bringing back capital punishment for the more severe crimes.

We understand that you are concerned about the effectiveness of the UK's justice system, but we can only accept petitions that make a clear request for change by the UK Government or House of Commons, and it is not clear what changes you want the Government to make.
We could accept a petition calling for convicts to be required to serve their full sentences, or for police to be given new powers, but it would need to be clear what powers you wanted the police to be given.
