Rejected petition To announce Ramadan and Diwali as Government holidays.

Minorities like me have to work on our festival day rather than celebrating with friends and family.By celebrating it every year the tradition gets passed on to our Children.

So far ethnic minorities don’t have their main festival day as a Government holiday and have to celebrate on a different suitable days or in the evenings if it falls on a weekday.It would be great if the Government could consider at least Ramadan and Diwali as Government holidays so these communities could get the privilege to celebrate the function with their families and friends properly.
