Rejected petition Remove VAT from all Covid-19 PPE and sanitizing products.

VAT is paid on disposable face masks, gloves and sanitizing products used to comply with current Covid-19 prevention guidelines.
For the duration of the pandemic I ask the UK Government to suspend the tax on these products.

More details

Many working people and small businesses are not VAT registered and due to current high demand these products are already expensive without the tax imposed.
