Rejected petition Enforce Harsher Penalties for Unpaid Wages / Implement UK Labor Board

Unpaid workers are are huge problem in the UK. There needs to be a set of laws or a labor board to act as a deterrent for employers who repeatedly don't pay their workers. Right now, penalties are so weak that some employers can break the law with impunity.

More details

Many workers don't have the time, money or emotional resources to bring their employers to court when they're not getting paid, and therefore don't have the means to press charges when their employer unlawfully deducts wages.
