Rejected petition Change the age of mammagram screening to 40 and above
So many women under 50 are being diagnosed with breast cancer and then it's too late for treatment, so the only way forward is palliative care, if the age was dropped to 40 you could save thousands of lives

The number of younger women diagnosed with breast cancer has topped 10000 a year for the first time according to news stories today.
The figure is based on new statistics published by Cancer Research UK which show that one in five breast cancers is now in women under 50.
