Rejected petition Restrict the dates/days and times fireworks can be used.

Restrict the private use of ‘loud’ fireworks to 3 days before or after 5th November and 31st December unless a licence is obtained.
Restrict fireworks after 11PM with the exception of New Year’s Eve when no fireworks should be set off after 1AM on 1st January.

More details

I’d like this restriction for the following reasons:
- Fireworks can cause great distress to animals and the elderly.
- Fireworks are often used by drug dealers to advertise the availability of new stock.
- Fireworks create pollution and the tenements are a danger to property and wildlife.
- Fireworks are more likely to be abused by children/teens if they have a larger window of opportunity to use them.
