I would like the government to ban horse racing and criminalize the act of betting on horse races.
Treating any animal the way that race horses are treated is inhumane. There is a high number of fatalities for these horses and they are mistreated through over-exertion and the use of whips and tongue ties, the horses that are bred for racing are prone to injury and hundreds die from the races every year.
Why was this petition rejected?
There’s already a petition about this issue. We cannot accept a new petition when we already have one about a very similar issue.
