Rejected petition: Review ARFID support across all NHS trusts ensuring support is given to families

Rejected on

I want the government to review ARFID services within the NHS. There are very few NHS Trusts who provide support and guidance for children with eating disorders such as ARFID with many trusts no longer providing diagnosis or treatment for children who need it.

Children and adults who are suffering with ARFID deserve to have the support available to them. Many children and adults struggle with this daily and it can be life threatening if it goes untreated.

There is currently no service in many trusts offering help and support to children and adults and parents with this condition. Many trusts are losing food related support all together due to lack of psychologists available to help and constant funding cuts.
This is unacceptable and needs to change
