Rejected petition: Early missing child alert system
Rejected on
To create and implement a missing child early alert system for the uk when a child goes missing every second counts
The UK currently relies on the voluntary Child Rescue Alert system, which requires citizens to manually opt-in to receive text messages. We want the Government to mandate that high-urgency missing child alerts are automatically broadcast directly to all mobile phones within specific geographic areas using the UK’s existing Emergency Alerts network, The general public wants to help protect vulnerable children, but they cannot do so if they are unaware a child is missing nearby.
