Rejected petition: Start an Amber Alert system for missing children within our local areas

Rejected on

The safety and wellbeing of children is our priority. It's a fear shared by countless parents across the United Kingdom, a fear of the unimaginable: a missing child. In such agonizing moments, every second counts, and the quicker a child is located, the higher the chances of a safe recovery.

I am urging authorities to implement an Amber Alert system across the UK when children go missing in their local areas.
Currently, the UK does not have a system that alerts the public if a child goes missing locally.
A UK-wide Amber Alert system would bridge this critical gap, providing swift communication to millions via mobile alerts, social media, and traditional news broadcasts. This system would not only mobilize community support and encourage vigilance.
