Rejected petition: Make carbohydrates mandatory on all restaurants menus

Rejected on

Restaurants have all allergens available to see on all menus but not carbohydrates. For Type 1 & 2 diabetics this can be a matter of life or death if calculated wrong. The government need to take action and help the 4.7 million diabetics to eat out safely

Diabetes is a serious health condition which impacts every day life. With the introduction of carbohydrates on menus diabetics could eat out safer and without the stress of guessing carbohydrates. Each restaurant portions are different therefore making calculating carbohydrates more difficult and riskier, therefore causing blood sugars to go high or low which has serious affect on diabetics health. Other allergens are rightly displayed on menus and I believe carbohydrates should be no different.
